Any interest in making these simple instruments?

The simplistic formula is...
S/F/4 = approximate tube length (1/4th wavelength).
S = The Speed of Sound (I use 13,526.499 inches per second to compensate for temp/altitude. Some use 13,200 in based on 1100ft per second)
F = Desired Keynote Frequency (Example: A =440.0 hz)

A tubelength in A =440 would be 7.685 inches or 7.5in with alternat "S". (7 and 3/4ths close enough).
Thes tube would be a little long but tubes with cork stoppers can tune up to proper pitch (PVC?)

I just made something similar last night (see my "Projects" thread, I might link a photo later.

Since it turned out badly, I might try stoppering it and making it into a basso pan. You don't mention anything about tube diameter, I thought that was a criteria? or is that only in the extreme ranges?

(Sorry!) Tube Diameter/Borelength ratios can range from 1/7 to 1/14. the larger diameter will produce a "flutey tone" while the smaller 1/14 will give a "reedy" tone.

Multiply the chosen bore diameter by 0.62 and shorten the tube by this length to compensate flat tone caused by lip coverage and internal compression.
