I know that there are small technical differences between flutes from different regions, but rather than try to distinguish them by those distinctions, I was wondering if separating them by the actual geographical regions might be more sensible?

Organizing by types of blowing doesn't really seem like a good method, I suspect that we will end up with types of instruments like - Irish Flute - Kaval - Xun - blahdeblah - adding more as someone wants to discuss a new instrument.

If there are no objections or additional suggestions, I will start re-organizing later today (6/26).

We have to have some kind of sub-grouping. After some thought, I guess geographic area is a Swell Idea. Wink
