This is just an introductory post. But I can list my measurements easily enough. I use a 7/16 bore in a 5/8 inch tube and 1/4 inch holes (before tuning).

I make D pipes mostly, cutting them about 10.75 inches from the center of the voice hole (which is just beyond the end of my pipe) and tuning it to a fundamental D after the starter holes are in.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for posting your measurements. It really helps just having a basic starting point! I would love to see some photos of both your ceramic and PVC flutes.

Are the measurements for PVC?

Thanks again!

Well my page with some of my pipes should be in my signature now.

Those measurements are for ceramic, but they are very close for PVC, half inch CPVC in fact.

Your instruments are indeed works of art! If they sound even half as lovely as they look, they must be incredible! Any chance you could post some sound files?

I only have one lousy headset microphone, or I would. They sound a little reedy through it.

I've been preparing for my yearly evaluation, which happened today, so I am a little late responding. Thank you for the compliment!
